Social commitment

Donation to the Musikverein Markgröningen e.V.

Seit seiner Gründung im Jahre 1920 ist der Musikverein zu einem festen Begriff im kulturellen Leben der Stadt Markgröningen geworden.
Since its founding in 1920, the Musikverein has become well-established in the cultural life of the town of Markgröningen. But also, far beyond the town itself, it is a much-loved asset to numerous festivities. The Musikverein is made up of four sections: the Wind Orchestra, the Marching Band, the Fanfare Band and the Fasnetgilde, all of which provide training opportunities to every age group from as young as three years old and are always happy to welcome new members.

"On behalf of the Fasnetgilde and our association, we thank you very much for the support. It is a really generous donation that will greatly help us and will be used for a suitable purpose."

Donation to the Bläserklasse Ensingen Horrheim e.V.

Through targeted cooperation between the Ensingen and Horrheim primary schools and the local music clubs and trombone choirs, the sponsoring association provides brass instrument classes at both primary schools to pupils in the third and fourth grade. This gives every pupil – irrespective of social background – the opportunity to learn a wind instrument. Making music together supports social interaction between children, teaches teamwork skills in a playful way, and promotes cooperation and responsibility in the group.

"It is only through socially committed companies like the Schick Group and private donors that this service can continue to be offered to primary school children in Ensingen and Horrheim. We extend our heartfelt thanks for the generous commitment."

Donation to the Vaihingen/Enz concentration camp memorial

What took place at the gates of Vaihingen/Enz in the last years of the Second World War? Why was a concentration camp erected in the Glattbach Valley in the summer of 1944? Why did some 1,700 people die in this camp up until April 1945? The KZ-Gedenkstätte e.V. association has set itself the objective of passing on answers and background information on these and similar questions to future generations, while also commemorating and honouring the victims of National Socialist dictatorship. At the same time, the memorial association feels committed to values such as tolerance, respect, understanding among nations, and democracy and works towards them.

Donation to the Vaihingen/Enz animal shelter

We are very glad to support the animal shelter in Vaihingen/Enz and the surrounding area and are pleased that the currently large number of animals continue to be well cared for.

"ANAIS, MILAN, Max and Moritz and Paule, on behalf of all the animals and helpers at the Vaihingen/Enz animal shelter, thank you very much for your generous donation."

Donation to the Vaihingen/Enz community foundation

We are happy to provide financial support to the Vaihingen/Enz community foundation. The Vaihingen/Enz community foundation champions a myriad of projects such as cycling for all ages, setting up helpers-on-site equipment, new benches or a climbing frame for the school yard of the Kornbergschule Enzweihingen.

Third Children’s Football Day at Ensingen primary school on 5 May 2022

Children increasingly suffer from obesity, can no longer manage the simplest coordination exercises, and clubs are complaining about ever-fewer new members. The Children’s Football Day aims to show children how much fun sport is, and encourage them to be physically active. We want to make a change here and are therefore delighted to support the Children’s Football Day.

“We, the FutureSport company, and all the children extend our heartfelt thanks for your generous support and wish you and your business much luck and success.”

Inclusion run 30 April to 15 May 2022 in Vaihingen/Enz

Inclusion made easy

We are very happy to support the inclusion run of the Lebenshilfe Vaihingen-Mühlacker e.V. again this year. This event is already taking place for the third time. Every participant and kilometre counts at this sporting event.

Symposium: Two Days of Proteostasis in Konstanz on 7 and 8 April 2022

We are thrilled to once again support this year’s symposium “Two Days of Proteostasis in Konstanz”, which takes place on 7 and 8 April 2022 at the University of Konstanz. It is one of the key elements of the highly successful Collaborative Research Centre 969 that was founded in 2012 “Chemical and Biological Principles of Cellular Proteostasis". In this SFB969, a total of 17 working groups from the specialist fields of chemistry and biology investigate how proteostasis is organised in a cell. The symposium, which takes place every two years, is attended by internationally renowned scientists who engage in intense debate with researchers at the University of Konstanz over a period of two days. This further promotes scientific dialogue and research within this core area of molecular biology and chemistry.

Children’s Football Day on 26 March 2020 at Ensingen primary school in Vaihingen/Enz

Future Sport Team gives a big thanks for the support!

Without such socially committed entrepreneurs, additional events at schools would be virtually impossible. After all, financial resources are only available to schools for the most necessary purchases owing to a paucity of funds and grants. Special requirements and requests cannot be considered due to absent resources and funds. Sponsoring can provide children with greater opportunities in terms of the best possible physical and mental development. This day aims to reacquaint children with sport.

The Future Sport Team, also on behalf of the children, would like to say: many thanks for the support!

Symposium: Two Days of Proteostasis in Konstanz 2018

International Symposium in Constance

We are thrilled to once again support the two-day symposium “Two Days of Proteostasis", which takes place on 11 October 2018 to 12 October 2018 at the University of Konstanz. The Collaborative Research Centre 969 of the Faculties for Biology and Chemistry at the University of Konstanz realises 18 research projects from the sub-fields of chemistry and biology and dedicates itself to the question of how proteostasis is established and can be maintained within a cell. A core element of the SFB 969 is the two-yearly international symposium where not only research results of the SFB 969 are presented, but internationally renowned, top-class scientists are also invited to present and discuss their research data.

Youth Concert 2018: Youth orchestra with over 80 musicians

We readily support the youth orchestra of the Horrheim Orchestra Association as well as the Kleinglattbach and Ensingen Music Associations when organising a joint youth concert, which will take place on 20 October 2018 in the Halle im See in Kleinglattbach. Musical pieces such as “Harry Potter”, “Star Wars” and “The Jungle Book” will enchant the audience at the concert evening. We wish the young musicians and conductors a lot of fun and success when making music.

Football Mini World Cup 2018 in Rüdersdorf

It is a pleasure for us to support the Football Mini World Cup again, which will take place between 22 and 24 April 2018 in Rüdersdorf. The opening match between Russia and Saudi Arabia will kick off on Saturday 23 June 2018. We wish all participating teams good luck and many goals. We would like to thank the organiser, the Förderverein Rüdersdorfer Fußball, for allowing us to sponsor the semi-final.

Future for bees

For two years, we have supported the Bee Project Initiative by adopting three bee colonies in Kitzbühel. Mr Markus Renkl, business owner and bee-keeper, has provided professional care to many bee colonies on site and has completed all bee-keeping services, from official registration right through to species-appropriate overwintering.

“The Schick-Group’s support to nature-oriented bee-keeping ensures a sustainable increase in the bee population, thus making an important contribution to the conservation of our ecosystem.”

Break time roof of the Schlossbergschule in Vaihingen/Enz

We are pleased to support the Schlossbergschule sponsoring association with the project “roofing the playground” and to enable the children to spend their breaks in the fresh air even during bad weather. In the future, pupils will find shelter from the sunshine and rain in two louvred buildings.
